Job summary

Palm Lake Pelican Waters Golf Club is seeking a reliable Kitchenhand to support the Cardon Restaurant team. Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen and dining environment, contributing to a positive dining experience for residents and guests.

This casual role covers breakfast, lunch, and Friday dinner shifts, with opportunities to work across seven days, 7am-3pm and 9pm Friday evenings. Join a dynamic team at a unique resort setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, café, or catering environment (preferred).
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe work practices.
• A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs/cook with basic food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support stock rotation and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
• Empty rubbish bins and ensure waste is disposed of safely and hygienically.
• Clean food preparation areas, fridges, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.
• Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and report hazards promptly.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
