Job summary

Palm Lake Group is seeking a reliable Kitchenhand for Palm Lake Resort Toowoomba to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen that supports our culinary team and enhances residents’ dining experiences.

The part-time position requires 8 hours per week over Tuesday and Thursday dinner shifts from 3:30pm to 7:30pm, with a focus on cleanliness, safety, and smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen/cafe/catering environments preferred.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe work practices required.
• Ability to work as part of a close-knit team and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation and service.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across kitchen and dining areas.
• Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils and equipment properly.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support stock rotation and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste safely.
• Clean food prep areas, fridges, ovens and other equipment.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and report hazards.

Position Details

We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Kitchenhand to join our Palm Lake Resort Toowoomba team. You will play an essential role in supporting our culinary team by maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring residents and guests enjoy every dining experience.

This is a Part Time position, working 8 hours per week on a Tuesday and Thursday dinner service shift 330pm - 730pm.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
