Job summary

Joondalup Resort is seeking an experienced Kitchen Steward Supervisor to join our Stewarding team. This full-time role focuses on keeping kitchens and back-of-house areas spotless, while leading a team of kitchen stewards in a hotel environment.

You will manage rosters, ensure cleaning schedules, and uphold HACCP standards; flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive stewarding experience in a hotel environment.
• Strong HACCP knowledge.
• Hospitality Hygiene Officer Certificate.
• Flexible roster including early mornings/late nights/weekends/public holidays.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Chemical handling knowledge.

About the Kitchen Steward Supervisor Opportunity

Joondalup Resort is seeking an experienced Kitchen Steward Supervisor to join the Stewarding team. This is a full-time position (payment is based on Hospitality Award wages).

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure kitchens and back of house areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness standards.
• Care for kitchen and service equipment
• Track and minimize breakages, loss of equipment and crockery.
• Review, establish and manage kitchen cleaning schedules.
• Lead a team of kitchen stewards in various sections of the kitchen.
• Manage team rosters.

Position Specifications:

• Extensive stewarding experience including experience in a similar hotel environment
• Working Knowledge and leadership of HACCP
• Hospitality Hygiene Officer Certificate
• Have availability to work a flexible roster including early mornings/ late nights/ weekends and public holidays
• Strong Organisational and Time Management Skills
• Meticulous Attention to Detail
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Chemical Handling Knowledge
