Job summary

The Fresh Collective is hiring a Kitchen Steward for their Redfern production kitchen in Sydney. The role involves general washing up, deep cleaning, and maintaining a clean kitchen environment. Weekday availability from 8.30am to 7pm is required, with casual ongoing shifts and hourly pay of $33.85 plus super.

Ideal candidates have kitchen experience, good food hygiene knowledge, and reliability. Visa eligibility and a proactive attitude are valued; students may apply.

• Experience in a kitchen environment with knowledge of food hygiene.
• Responsible, initiative-driven and reliable.
• Physically fit; able to lift 10–15 kg.

Responsibilities

• General washing up and deep cleaning of kitchen and equipment.
• Cleaning of kitchen surroundings and equipment.

• Accurate hourly pay rate of $33.85/hour plus super.

The Role - Kitchen Steward

The Kitchen Steward is responsible to perform basic kitchen duties as requested by the Chief Steward or Head Chef, including:

• General washing up and deep cleaning
• Cleaning of kitchen equipment and kitchen surroundings
• Available weekdays from 8.30am to 7pm
• Hourly pay rate: Mon-Fri at $33.85/ hour, plus super

This position is a casual role, with ongoing shifts.

About You

• Prior experience in a kitchen environment with knowledge of food hygiene
• A responsible person who shows initiative
• Hard working, physically fit and reliable - able to lift 10-15kgs comfortably
• In possession of a valid working visa, with availability to work weekdays
