Job summary

Delaware North Australia & New Zealand is seeking a casual Kitchen Steward to join Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin, NT. You will maintain cleanliness across all food and beverage production areas and ensure buffets and functions are set up and cleared efficiently while upholding high standards of kitchen hygiene.

You’ll work a flexible 7-day roster, including evenings and weekends, and enjoy benefits such as staff meals, parking, and dining discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial kitchen environment is required.
• Knowledge of HACCP and WH&S safety standards is essential.

• Flexible availability to work 7 days, including evenings and weekends.

The opportunity

Delaware North Australia is hiring a casual Kitchen Steward to join their team at Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin, NT. As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a key role in maintaining cleanliness across all food and beverage production areas and outlets. The Kitchen Steward will also ensure that all buffets and functions are set up and cleared efficiently, while adhering to high standards of cleanliness for kitchen equipment and utensils.

• Ensure cleanliness in all Food & Beverage production areas

More About You

• Previous work experience in a commercial kitchen environment
• Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain at onboarding
• Knowledge of HACCP and WH&S safety standards
• Ability to work a flexible 7-day roster, including evenings/nights, public holidays and weekends
• Good communication skills and cultural awareness in a multi-cultural workplace
