Job summary

Delaware North Australia invites applications for a Kitchen Steward at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). In this hands-on role you’ll help maintain cleanliness, safety and efficiency in the kitchen, supporting cooks and keeping the workspace organised.

You’ll perform routine cleaning, temperature/quality checks, manage waste, and adapt to a 7‑day roster. Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one is preferred, with experience as a Kitchen Hand advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and waste management.
• Show flexibility in working various shifts over a 7-day roster.

As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a crucial role in ensuring cleanliness, order, and efficiency in the kitchen; contributing to the smooth functioning of the kitchen operations. You will excel as a Kitchen Steward if you havefundamental cooking skills and a comprehensive understanding of kitchen safety.
