Job summary

Mindil Beach Casino Resort in Darwin, NT is hiring a casual Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness across Food & Beverage production areas and outlets. You’ll set up and clear buffets, assist with service, and help keep kitchen equipment immaculate.

To qualify, you should have experience in a commercial kitchen, a Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain on onboarding), knowledge of HACCP and WH&S standards, and be flexible to a 7-day roster including evenings, holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain at onboarding.
• Knowledge of HACCP and WH&S safety standards.
• Ability to work a flexible 7-day roster, including evenings/nights, public holidays and weekends.
• Good communication skills and cultural awareness in a multi-cultural workplace.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness in all Food & Beverage production areas.
• Set up and clear buffets and functions with attention to detail.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Manage tasks effectively during peak times.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
