K'Gari is part of SeaLink Marine & Tourism, a unit within Kelsian Group, on Fraser Island, Queensland. We are seeking a motivated Kitchen Steward to join the team under the Executive Chef, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation in a busy kitchen.

This permanent part-time role offers on-island living in staff village with an all-inclusive package including meals. You will manage dishwashing, food prep support, and hygiene to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, pots and pans.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, benches, floors and storage areas.
• Dispose of waste and manage recycling.
• Maintain cleanliness in line with food safety and WHS standards.
• Assist in food preparation and storage.
• Use chemicals safely and effectively.

Join Our Team as a Kitchen Steward!

We are seeking an organised and motivated Kitchen Steward to join our dynamic team in the Kitchen Department. Working under the guidance of the Executive Chef, you'll ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitised, maintaining them in ready-for-use condition. Your responsibilities include operating a commercial size dishwasher, handling food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards. You will also need to adhere to the Food Safety Program and manage shift operations when required.

This is a permanent part time position living on the island in our staff village. Very affordable, all-inclusive living expenses package with 3 meals a day. If you are looking for a change, hen we would love to hear from you.

Key Duties:
