Job summary

K'gari Beach Resort in Fraser Island invites applications for a Houseperson. You will support housekeeping by handling linen distribution and delivering exceptional room service across hotel rooms and apartments.

The role is live-on and part-time, up to 76 hours per fortnight, with a beachfront setting and a vibrant, diverse team. Ideal candidates are physically fit, team players with a can-do attitude, and have prior resort housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit due to manual and repetitive tasks.
• Experience in hotel/resort housekeeping is highly regarded.
• Possess a valid manual driving licence and be able to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean and distribute linen across the resort buildings.
• Provide excellent housekeeping service to hotel rooms and apartments.
• Participate in a busy housekeeping team and maintain safety standards.

The opportunity

We are seeking a diligent team player with a passion for providing great hospitality service for the role of Houseperson at K'gari Beach Resort. As part of our proficient housekeeping team, this role will ensure clean linen is packed and distributed around the complex and delivery exceptional service to resort hotel rooms and apartments.

The ideal candidate will have experience with various cleaning duties, an ability to keep up with the physically demanding nature of the role and most importantly take pride in what they do! This is a live-on permanent part-time opportunity, working up to 76 hours per fortnight.

With an unbeatable beachfront address, K’gari Beach Resort is the hub for island experiences along the east coast of K’gari. This remote base is only accessible by 4WD and ignites a sense of adventure within a relaxed coastal escape. This is the place to build lifelong connections with likeminded colleagues from around the world and spend your free time exploring majestic rainforest canopies, prime ocean-fishing, ancient sand blows, and crystal-clear freshwater inland lakes.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Committed to delivering brilliant customer experiences.
• Must be physically fit due to the manual labour involved - stairs, lifting, repetitive tasks.
• Motivated, good attitude and ability to work effectively within a team.
• Worked in a similar role; hotel/resort housekeeping (highly regarded).
• Hold a valid manual Driver Licence (highly regarded).
