Job summary

Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is seeking a casual Kitchen Services Attendant to support our Chefs with cleaning, food prep and general kitchen tasks, helping the kitchen run smoothly in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle washing, storage, surface cleaning, stocks and rotation, with a strong emphasis on food safety, teamwork, and flexibility to work various shifts. This role is on-site at the Broadbeach facility and requires Australian working rights.

Qualifications

• Enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and willingness to get the job done.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Strong work ethic with high attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and returning to storage all cutlery, crockery, utensils, pots, pans and cooking dishes.
• Cleaning all hard surfaces including benches, walls, work surfaces, tables and chairs.
• Cleaning all floor surfaces during and after service.
• Emptying kitchen bins as required during and after service.
• Assisting with the maintenance of kitchen equipment and reporting hazards or faults to the Executive Chef.
• Supporting the Kitchen Storeperson with receiving orders, monitoring fridge and freezer temperatures and stock rotation.
• Assisting with food preparation as requested by the Chefs.

THE ROLE

• Cleaning all floor surfaces during and after service
