Job summary

Architectural Designer Products seeks an experienced Designer to craft aesthetically pleasing and functional kitchen designs aligned with client goals and industry standards. Job description

Reporting to Sales & Service Manager, the Designer is expected to create aesthetically

pleasing and functional kitchen designs that align with client expectations and industry

standards.

The Designer is the first formal point of contact with a potential new client and is responsible

for understanding client needs and preferences, visualising and creating original design

concepts as per client goals, developing detailed plans, sourcing materials and determining

costs. Knowledge of and compliance with building and safety regulations is critical.

Demonstrated experience in a senior design role with a proven record of outstanding

customer service is essential, so too is a strong working knowledge of sales concepts.

Qualifications in interior design, or an industry related field of specialisation are preferred.

The ability to think creatively about the use of space, colour and movement and draw on

other artistic mediums for creative inspiration is a fundamental aspect of this position.

Planning and organisational skills are crucial; so too is the ability to influence as well as

interact and get along with others in a positive and professional manner.

Critical to this role are excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade in

communicating a design idea, so too are active listening skills and a respect for differing

opinions, styles and financial situations.

A strong creative flair and keen eye for detail is essential, as well as a comprehensive

understanding of kitchen ergonomics and the ability to effortlessly blend beauty with

practicality.

Sound computer proficiencies in a diverse range of design and visualisation tools including

Cabinet Vision or similar design software, and Microsoft Office is essential to this position.
