Job summary

Leisure Coast Kitchens Pty Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Designer to join its Illawarra-based team. The role involves office/on-site design for private market, focusing on customer satisfaction and end-to-end project management.

You will design, quote, and sell kitchens, provide support to other departments, and present proposals to customers and suppliers. A licence and design qualification are preferred, with CAD skills essential.

Qualifications

• Strong design sense and attention to detail.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and translate into cabinetry layouts.
• Licence required for practice in NSW (or as applicable).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior or Kitchen Design, or 2+ years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, quote, and sell kitchens and bespoke joinery.
• Produce high quality drawings and renders for client proposals.
• Provide showroom support including colour consultations and enquiries.
• Maintain professional relationships with customers and peers.

About the role:

Our Kitchen Designers are responsible for designing, quoting, and selling kitchens and bespoke joinery focusing on customer satisfaction and striving to achieve company goals. This role will encourage you to tap into your creativity to solve functional design problems, as well as maintain professional and personable relationships with customers and peers. This is an office/on-site design role for our private market.

Key responsibilities:

• Produce high quality, detailed drawings and renders to create functional and aesthetic designs and effectively utilise time-management skills.
• Provide support to other departments and team mates to ensure end-to-end project management.
• Provide assistance in showroom including colour consultations, quotations, managing bookings and answering enquiries.
• Presenting proposed designs and quotations to customer, suppliers and colleagues through honest communication.
• Adapting to changes in workload depending on busy industry periods via multi-tasking abilities.
• Prioritise bookings and tasks with Outlook Calendar.
• Showing empathy and understanding to customer needs and wants through effective listening skills and frequent communication.
• Perform effectively to meet monthly targets and participate in monthly meetings.

• Must have licence.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in Interior Design or Kitchen Design or at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar role or industry is desirable.
