Job summary

Nagambie Brewery and Distillery in Nagambie VIC is seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our close-knit kitchen team. You'll assist chefs, help with prep, and keep the kitchen clean and safe while supporting service in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

This role offers an opportunity to grow within a professional kitchen, with emphasis on hygiene, teamwork and learning from experienced chefs in a renowned venue.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with food preparation as directed
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen at all times
• Dishwashing and cleaning of all kitchen equipment and surfaces
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to
• Support the team during service in a fast-paced environment
• Assist with stock rotation and correct food storage procedures
• Follow all WHS policies and safe food handling practices

At the heart of our kitchen, Head Chef Michelle Capuso collaborates with local producers to present dishes that are fresh, seasonal, and irresistibly delicious — all centred around our beloved wood-fired oven.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Kitchen Hand you will play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly. You'll work alongside our chefs to support food preparation, maintain impeccable cleanliness standards, and ensure our kitchen operates safely and efficiently at all times.
