We're proudly family-owned and operated, and we know that the magic of early learning starts with the people who deliver it. Our educators aren't just employees — they're the heart of everything we do.

We're growing across 15 centres in NSW and QLD, and we're looking for passionate educators to grow with us. At Rise & Shine, you'll feel supported, valued, and inspired every day — because when our educators thrive, so do the children and families we serve.

We're looking for an experienced Diploma or ECT qualified educator to step into a Second in Charge role at Marrickville, working alongside the Centre Director to lead the team and deliver a high-quality program aligned with the EYLF and our Shine Advantage Curriculum.

  • Recording observations and using them to inform program planning and support each child's learning
  • Developing and reviewing daily care routines

  • Maintaining a safe, well-resourced learning environment and ensuring the room reflects Rise & Shine's expectations
Leadership & team support
  • Leading, mentoring and directing educators across the service
  • Providing fair, effective day-to-day supervision and modelling best practice
  • Supervising students on placement and trainees as delegated by the Director
  • Promoting a culture of continuous learning, accountability and duty of care
  • Supporting compliance with the NQF, Education and Care Services National Regulations, and centre policies and procedures
Families & community
  • Building positive, respectful relationships with families
  • Providing verbal and written updates to families as delegated by the Director
  • Encouraging family input into the life of the service

  • Meeting reporting requirements and contributing to administrative improvements
  • Upholding child protection, WHS, and confidentiality obligations at all times
  • Assuming the role of Centre Director in their absence
What you'll bring
  • AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
  • Current Working with Children Check, Geccko training, First Aid, CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis and Child Protection training
  • Sound knowledge of the EYLF, NQF, and relevant regulations
