Job summary

Chartwells are specialists in providing catering and hospitality services in education. The Kitchen Hand role in Sydney offers a friendly, supportive team environment and shifts that cover early mornings to evenings.

You will assist with food preparation, wash dishes, and help maintain cleanliness across all kitchen areas. No prior kitchen experience is required, but any hospitality background is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Team-based work in a busy environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Willing to obtain a Working With Children Check.
• Previous kitchen, hospitality, or catering experience is advantageous but not essential.

Kitchen Hand

$27.09/hour + 12% Super + Leave Entitlements

• Friendly & Supportive team
• Meals provided on shift
• Monday 7am till 2pm, Tuesday 12pm - 7:30pm, Friday 12pm - 7:30pm.

THE POSITION

• Assisting with food preparation and basic kitchen duties
• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across all kitchen areas
• Receiving and storing deliveries
• Supporting chefs and the wider catering team as required

THE PERSON

• Enjoy working as part of a team in a busy environment
• Have knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
• Be able to work efficiently and follow instructions
• Hold or be willing to obtain a Working With Children Check
• Previous kitchen, hospitality, or catering experience is advantageous but not essential
