Job summary

Greenbank Services Club in Logan City invites applications for a Kitchenhand. You will work in a fast-paced cafe or large production kitchen, assist with food prep, clean and sort kitchenware, manage waste and stock, and help maintain hygienic practices. This role suits someone who is reliable, physically fit, and eager to learn. Nights and weekends will be required.

Applicants with kitchen experience and Food Handlers Certification are preferred; full training will be provided where needed.

• Experience working in a kitchen environment.
• Hygiene for Food Handlers Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in the fast-paced environment of a café kitchen or large production kitchen.
• Clean all kitchenware, equipment and utensils.
• Dispose of waste and sort recycled items.
• Demonstrate hygienic and safe work practices.
• Responsible for stock control and food storage.
• Assist with food preparation as directed.
• Other duties as requested.

About the Role

In this role, you will also be required to undertake the following duties:

• Working in the fast paced environment of either a café kitchen or large production kitchen
• Cleaning of all kitchenware, equipment and utensils
• Disposal of all waste and sorting of recycled items
• Demonstration of hygienic and safe work practices
• Responsible for strict stock control and food storage
• Food preparation as directed
• Other duties as requested
