Burpengary Community Club is seeking a casual Kitchen Hand to thrive in a fast-paced, physical kitchen environment on the Brisbane Northside. You will wash, prep and assist with basic cooking, while maintaining hygiene and teamwork in a friendly setting.

Experience is preferred but not required. 20–30 hours per week with undercover parking and convenient transit access nearby. You will join a community-focused venue with growing facilities and a strong customer-service culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment is preferred.
• Must be able to follow HACCP policies and kitchen safety rules.
• Must be eligible to gain a National Police Certificate for employment.

Responsabilités

• Wash and clean utensils and dishes; store appropriately.
• Handle, sort, store and distribute food items per policy.
• Wash, peel, chop and cook foodstuffs; help with salads and desserts.
• Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling; organise kitchen linen laundering.

Burpengary Community Club is in the largest and fastest growing council areas in Queensland (MBRC). The Club’s focus is to support the immediate area with a Club facility, along with the ongoing support to the community. The Club has a 350 plus seater restaurant including outdoor dining, as well as 80 seat Café, 150 gaming machines, and Sports Bar.

About the Role ...

Duties & Tasks of a Kitchen Hand

• Washand clean utensils and dishes, and make sure they are stored appropriately.
• Handle, sort, store and distribute food items as per the Club’s HACCP policy
• Wash, peel, chop, cut and cook foodstuffs, and help prepare salads and desserts, when required
• Sort and dispose of rubbish and recycling.
• Organise laundering of kitchen linen.

We have approximately 20-30 hours per week available in this role

• Previous experience using a commercial dishwasher
