Job summary

Greenbank Services Club is seeking a Kitchenhand to support both café and production kitchen operations. You will clean kitchenware, manage waste, and help keep the area hygienic and well-organised while supporting stock control and food storage.

Training will be provided for safety and quality standards. Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, and you should be reliable, able to work nights or weekends as required, and physically fit to handle busy kitchen duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Hygiene for Food Handlers Certification preferred.
• Flexibility to work across cafe kitchen or large production kitchen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in fast-paced cafe or large production kitchen environments.
• Clean all kitchenware, equipment and utensils to hygiene standards.
• Dispose of waste and sort recyclables.
• Demonstrate hygienic and safe work practices at all times.
• Assist with stock control and proper food storage.
• Participate in basic food preparation as directed by supervisors.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by management.

About the Role …

In this role, you will also be required to undertake the following duties:

• Working in the fast paced environment of either a café kitchen or large production kitchen
• Cleaning of all kitchenware, equipment and utensils
• Disposal of all waste and sorting of recycled items
• Demonstration of hygienic and safe work practices
• Responsible for strict stock control and food storage
• Food preparation as directed
• Other duties as requested
