Job summary

Moonlight Cinema Sydney, part of EVT Limited, is hiring experienced Kitchen Crew for the summer season at Centennial Parklands. This hands-on casual role covers cooking, food prep, and service, with nights and weekends required from mid-November to early April.

You will work in a fast-paced team, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to high-quality guest experiences. RSA and work rights are essential; trade certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year kitchen experience in high-volume or event settings.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety.
• Trade qualification and Food Safety Supervisor Certification preferred.
• Valid RSA and Australian work rights essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and assemble food items according to recipes and portion controls.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards.
• Restock and rotate stock, and assist with prep stations during service.
• Support smooth service flow with front-of-house and kitchen teams.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report hazards or issues promptly.

About the Role

Moonlight Cinema Sydney is seeking experienced Kitchen Crew to join the team for the summer at the iconic Centennial Parklands. This hands‑on casual role is integral to preparing, cooking, and delivering high‑quality food to our guests and supporting smooth kitchen operations across the event season. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑focused environment and contribute to creating memorable guest experiences. You must be available to work nights, including weekends, from mid‑November through early April.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 1 year kitchen experience, preferably in high‑volume or event settings
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety
• Trade qualification and Food Safety Supervisor Certification (preferred)
• Team player with strong organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience in hospitality, events, or cinema industry
• Valid RSA and Australian work rights (essential)
