ibis Adelaide is seeking an entry-level Kitchen Attendant/Kitchen Steward to join our team. You will help keep the hotel kitchens and washing areas clean, and have opportunities to learn and expand your skills in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

The right candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented and passionate about delivering guests an exceptional experience.

Qualifications

• Energetic, self-motivated, and a great team player.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Washing dishes using a commercial dishwasher.
• Wash pots and pans by hand and keep kitchen surfaces clean.
• Assist with basic food preparation duties and learn on the job.
• Maintain sanitary, safe, and clutter-free work areas.
• Ensure floors and work areas are clean and hazard-free.

Job Description

This is an entry level position with an opportunity to be part of something bigger.

As a Kitchen Attendant / Kitchen Steward, you will work as part of a team to keep the hotel kitchens and washing up areas clean and tidy, with great opportunity to learn and expand your skills.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, have attention to detail, and have a passion for giving guests an exceptional experience.

What you will be doing:

• Washing dishes operating commercial dishwasher
• Wash pots and pans by hand
• Assisting with basic food preparation duties with opportunities to learn
• Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitising of all surfaces
• Keeping floors and work areas, clean andclear of hazards and obstruction
• Responsible operation of kitchen cleaning equipment.

Your experience and skills include:

• Organized, safe-minded and a great team player
• Passionate about maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene (Basic Food Safety Certificate under Australian standards is an advantage)
