Job summary

Honour Early Learning invites a Kitchen Assistant to join our on-site team at Park Ridge. You will work closely with the Chef to support daily meal preparation, dishwashing, and the delivery of meals to classrooms, while maintaining food safety records.

The role emphasises learning, reliability, and teamwork, with opportunities to step up during Chef leave and to support our in‑house café for families.

Qualifications

• Experience as Kitchen Assistant/Kitchenhand or similar role required.
• Willingness to learn, develop skills and take on extra responsibility.
• Current Blue Card or willingness to obtain one.
• Friendly, reliable and hands-on approach; good organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily meal preparation and service for children.
• Deliver meals to classrooms and collect dishes from learning spaces.
• Maintain a clean, organised kitchen and complete dishwashing duties.
• Support food safety checks, records and documentation.
• Learn kitchen processes and step in to run the kitchen during Chef absence.
• Support the in-house cafe operations and beverages for families.
