CEVA Logistics in Melbourne is seeking a seasoned Key Account Manager for our Finished Vehicle Logistics site in Truganina, VIC. You will own a strategic customer account, driving retention, profitability and strong relationships with internal teams and the customer.

You’ll work with operations to plan vehicle flows, review forecasts and coordinate with leaders to deliver practical, sustainable logistics solutions. This role suits a commercially minded professional in transport-focused logistics.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day delivery of a key account for a leading automotive manufacturer, linking customer and internal teams.
• Review forecasts, stock levels and outbound volumes to support planning.
• Coordinate with operations to manage vehicle flows, storage and demand fluctuations.
• Monitor service performance against KPIs and coordinate practical solutions.
• Build relationships with the customer’s logistics teams through regular updates and reviews.
• Work with Customer Coordinator and State Ops Managers to manage escalations and maintain service continuity.
• Oversee account requirements including contracts, fuel surcharge updates and billing changes.
• Support retention and growth by identifying opportunities to expand services.

YOUR ROLE

Based from our Finished Vehicle Logistics site in Truganina VIC, we’re looking for a Key Account Manager to join our Business Development team.

Reporting to the Director Business Development, you’ll take ownership of a key strategic customer account, with accountability for retention, growth, profitability and relationship management.

This role will suit a commercially minded account manager who understands logistics operations, enjoys building trusted customer relationships and can work closely with internal teams to deliver practical, sustainable and customer-focused solutions.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Specifically, you will:

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of a key account for a leading automotive manufacturer, acting as the main link between the customer and internal operational teams
• Review customer forecasts, vehicle stock levels and outbound volumes to support effective operational planning
• Coordinate with operations to manage vehicle flows, storage requirements and fluctuations in customer demand
• Monitor service performance against agreed KPIs, identify emerging issues and coordinate practical solutions
• Build strong relationships with the customer’s logistics teams through regular communication, operational updates and performance reviews
• Work closely with the Customer Coordinator and State Operations Managers to manage escalations and maintain service continuity
• Oversee key account requirements, including contracts, fuel surcharge updates, billing matters and agreed service changes
• Support account retention and sustainable growth by understanding the customer’s priorities and identifying opportunities to improve or expand the services provided.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate is an experienced account manager, commercial manager or customer solutions professional from a transport-heavy logistics environment, with the ability to manage strategic customer relationships and deliver commercially sound outcomes. You’ll also have:

• Experience in transport, vehicle logistics, fleet, linehaul, distribution, 3PL or a related logistics environment
• Strong experience managing key customer accounts, with a focus on service delivery, relationship management and account retention
• A sound understanding of transport operations, service performance, customer requirements and operational cost drivers
• The ability to build trusted customer relationships and influence stakeholders across operational, escalation and senior leadership levels
• Commercial awareness, including experience supporting contract performance, pricing reviews, scope changes and account growth opportunities
• Strong planning, problem-solving and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and confidence working with operational data
• A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across operations, commercial, legal, finance and QHSE teams to deliver positive customer outcomes
