Job summary

Kingfisher Bay Resort on K'Gari island is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in a full-time, live-on island role. You will lead your section, craft high-quality dishes and help drive consistent presentation across resort dining spaces.

As part of a large resort operation, you will mentor junior staff, uphold food safety standards and ensure smooth service during busy periods. This is an excellent chance to build leadership experience in a unique island setting.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
• 1+ years experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Experience in a high-volume resort/hotel kitchen.
• Strong organisation, communication and time management skills.
• Passion for quality food and exceptional guest experiences.

About the Role

You’ll play an important role in delivering quality dining experiences across Kingfisher Bay Resort’s restaurants, bars and event spaces while supporting the day-to-day leadership of kitchen operations. Working alongside a talented culinary team, you’ll take ownership of your section, maintain food quality and presentation standards, support junior team members and help ensure smooth kitchen operations during service. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef looking to build leadership experience within a large resort environment.
