Job summary

Central Coast Grammar School (CCGS) is seeking a Director of Music Performance K-12 for a full-time, permanent appointment commencing in Term 1 2027. The role oversees strategic and operational management of the School's K-12 music performance programs and cocurricular activities, including instrumental and choral ensembles and performance opportunities.

Reporting to the Head of Music K-12, the Director will lead cocurricular staff, coordinate programs, and deliver a high-quality music

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Music or Music Education is required.
• Experience directing and conducting school music ensembles (orchestras, bands, choirs).
• Proven leadership or program coordination experience in education or arts settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across the school community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and embed a consistent, high-quality performance philosophy across K-12 instrumental and choral ensembles.
• Lead and manage cocurricular music staff and activities.
• Coordinate programs and events, including tours and performances at the Performing Arts Centre.
