Job summary

Join the Boone & Willard Team as a Junior / Trainee Estimator!

An opportunity has become available at Boone and Willard Plumbing for a Junior / Trainee Plumbing Estimator to join our busy professional team based in Sydney. This full-time position will play a crucial role in supporting the estimating team and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Desired Experience / Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive approach to problem solving and multitasking
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work either independently or as part of a team
• Relevant qualifications eg plumbing trade certificate, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field
• Willingness to learn and grow within the construction industry

MUST HAVE:Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Estimating team in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Gathering and analysing material and labour costs, as well as subcontractor pricing
• Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements
• Maintaining up-to-date cost databases and relevant project documentation
• Providing administrative support to the Estimating team as needed
• Continuously learning and developing estimating skills
