Job summary

Malware Plumbing and Drainage in Greensborough VIC is seeking a Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team. You will assess project requirements, develop cost estimates, and prepare tender submissions for design-and-construct and construct-only projects, typically ranging from $100k to $2M.

You will network with stakeholders, mentor junior staff, document handovers, and drive cost efficiency through innovative materials and methods.

Qualifications

• Min 2-3 years experience in the construction industry.
• Plumbing experience essential for understanding principals of systems and regulations.
• Experience in delivery of projects at Greenfields and Brownfield sites.
• Experience in estimation and pre contracts.
• SimPRO and Groundplan cloud based software experience would be advantageous.

As our newest team member, you’ll play a crucial role in assessing project requirements, estimating costs, and ensuring the seamless execution of commercial plumbing projects. Responsibilities

• The position will both oversee and prepare tender submissions for Plumbing and infrastructure projects. The incumbent must be able to prepare estimates and proposals for design and construct and construct only projects with typical plumbing values between $100k and $2M.
• Networking with key internal and external stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
• Prepare and implement a campaign strategy,
• Manage & mentor junior members of the team.
• Document aspects of project to separate for projects handovers
• Constructing breakdowns of tenders for submission
• Manage Methodologies, Sequencing, scheduling and Risk and opportunity registers.
• Supporting Internal and External reporting of project progress.
• Providing technical management and validation of tender designs
• Carrying out strategic alliance
• Experience bidding, winning and coordinating projects;
• Dealing with multiple projects at once;
• Dealing with client issues, rfi’s etc;

.Experience required.

Min 2-3 years experience in the construction industry

Experience in estimation and pre contracts.

SimPRO and Groundplan cloud based software experience would be advantageous.

• Construction induction white card.
• Driver’s license.
• Advanced user: Microsoft Office suites

Skills and Experience

• Reviewing tender specifications and drawings to determine material and resource requirements
• Computing costs and preparing. Estimates for tender submission.
• Consulting with clients, vendors, designers and other stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Analysing completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs
• Interfacing with stakeholders within SimPro to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates
• Communicating project information to delivery team
• Provide improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures
• Developing innovative material inputs and construction methods to reduce costs
• Identify cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.
• Preparing construction methodologies and project schedules for tender submissions
