Momenta Advisors in Sydney seeks a Junior to Intermediate Accountant for Business Services and Tax to join a fast-growing firm with multiple offices. You will build client relationships and support senior staff in tax, BAS, and financial statements while developing analytical and advisory skills.

You will work closely with managers and partners, gain exposure to strategy, processes, and virtual CFO services, and enjoy mentorship, training, and a clear path to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Degree Qualified (Major in Accounting, 1+ years experience).
• Experience with Xero favourable.
• Highly skilled with Microsoft Office.
• Be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be target driven.
• Ability to learn quickly and work under instruction from senior accountants.
• Confident, well presented, self-motivated, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Completing Individual Tax Returns.
• Completing Business Activity Statements.
• Completing year-end Financial Accounts and Income Tax Returns (for all entity types).
• Preparing business analytical data (financial ratios, benchmarking, tax planning, etc).
• Bookkeeping and other Virtual CFO services.
• Completing all other statutory compliance requirements.
• Liaising with government bodies.
• Liaising with clients on software consultancy matters.
• Providing input on strategy, marketing and processes to assist growing the business in the right direction.
• Work on challenging clients and kick start your accounting career.

About the Role

You will be an integral part of a growing team, with an opportunity to work closely and with direct contact with the manager and partners of the firm. You will also be encouraged to manage client relationships whilst managing the following tasks:
