Job summary

Seek is an established accounting practice based in Sydney Inner West, seeking an Intermediate Accountant with 2–4 years in public practice to join our friendly and supportive team.

You will prepare financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS, assist with tax planning, liaise with clients and the ATO, and work closely with senior accountants and partners. Hybrid work with one day WFH per week is available.

Qualifications

• Public practice accounting experience 2–4 years required.
• Strong knowledge of Australian tax & compliance.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
• Prepare BAS, IAS and other compliance obligations.
• Assist with tax planning, advisory work and monthly management reports.
• Liaise with clients and respond to queries promptly.
• Work closely with senior accountants and partners on client engagements.
• Liaise with the ATO.

We are an established and growing accounting practice seeking an Intermediate Accountant with 2-4 years of experience in public practice to join our friendly and supportive team.

• Liaising with clients and responding to queries in a timely manner
• Working closely with senior accountants and partners on client engagements
• Liaison with the ATO

About you

• 2-4 years plus of experience in a public practice accounting firm
• Strong understanding of Australian tax and compliance requirements
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
