Job summary

Ormiston College in Brisbane is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to assist the Senior Systems Administrator in maintaining the College's ICT infrastructure, data protection and supporting the ICT Helpdesk. The successful candidate will join a proactive team, require a Paid Working with Children Check, and bring strong communication skills and solid IT capabilities to the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Paid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) as per QLD legislation.
• Experience in a school setting would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor College ICT infrastructure, including servers, databases, network services, security systems and cloud-based platforms.
• Support cyber security through system monitoring, software updates, vulnerability management, data backups and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with research, implementation, integration and ongoing improvement of ICT systems, software and hardware.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions and system credentials, ensuring appropriate security and access controls.
• Support the administration and maintenance of the College's Student Information System (TASS), including data management, reporting, system rollovers and integrations.
• Manage third‑party software and cloud services, including licensing, data synchronisation and vendor coordination.
• Provide Level 2 technical support and guidance to the ICT Helpdesk, assisting with complex technical issues and software deployments.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and contribute to the continuous improvement of ICT processes and systems.
• Work collaboratively with staff, external providers and key stakeholders to deliver effective ICT solutions that support teaching, learning and College operations.
