Job summary

Russell Kennedy Lawyers in Melbourne is seeking a IT Support professional to assist with desktop and service desk tasks, focusing on Microsoft 365 administration, AD/Entra ID, and Windows server environments. You will work on on‑premises and cloud infrastructure, handle incident resolution, contribute to documentation, and support security and networking services.

A 1–3 year background in client‑centred IT roles is preferred, with strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of IT Support/Service Desk/Desktop Support experience.
• Exposure to Microsoft 365 administration.
• Exposure to Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Exposure to Microsoft Windows server and features.
• Networking basics: IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and wireless.
• ITSM framework experience.
• Documentation, troubleshooting and process improvements.
• Backup technologies such as Veeam.
• Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
• Palo Alto and Aruba networking knowledge.
• VMware and Citrix familiarity.
• Scripting with PowerShell and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Involvement within projects to assist with technical deliverables.
• Assistance with vendor management.
• Regular disaster recovery tests.
• Safeguarding security with administration of email protection, web filtering, data loss prevention, and endpoint protection gateways and platforms.
• Maintaining directory services, MFA, and access to IT services in cloud and on‑premises.
• Technical troubleshooting and resolution of Helpdesk escalated tickets.
• On‑premises infrastructure and cloud support, monitoring, installations, upgrades, testing, documentation, and backups.
• Maintain a cyber security first approach and mindset; stay informed of latest cyber threats.
