Job summary

Q Design + Construct is seeking two junior Site Engineers to join our construction team in Western Australia. You’ll support the delivery of large-scale industrial and commercial projects from the Perth Airport precinct and work alongside Project Engineers, Site Managers and a Project Manager.

You will gain hands-on experience on site, coordinating day-to-day operations, monitoring costs, and assisting with quality records, safety management, and subcontractor coordination across complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant construction industry experience.
• Previous site experience through internships, vacation work, or placements is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Construction Safety Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams with the planning and delivery of construction activities.
• Support the project team in coordinating day-to-day site operations.
• Assist with monitoring project costs, budgets, and procurement activities.
• Help prepare project documentation, reports, quality records, and construction procedures.
• Support the management of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist with quality assurance inspections and maintain project records.
• Participate in resolving technical issues relating to design and construction methodologies.
• Assist with project scheduling, resource planning, and progress reporting.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders under the guidance of senior team members.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all project activities.
• Read, understand and interpret construction drawings, documents and specifications.
• Implement Quality Control procedures.
• Develop and implement ITPs and ITRs in accordance with policies and specifications.
• Monitor and maintain quality compliance.
