Job summary

Clayfield College, a leading independent school in Brisbane, seeks a Sports Development Coordinator (Junior School) to lead and support its Junior School sport program within the PMSA framework. You will collaborate with coaches, staff and families to promote inclusive, developmental sports experiences for students.

The role requires flexibility for after-hours events, with a focus on safety, participation and pathwa ys for junior athletes under the College's Parallel Learning model.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating and developing school programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee the delivery of the Junior School Sport Program.
• Develop inclusive, age-appropriate sporting opportunities.
• Increase student participation and engagement in Junior School sporting programs.
• Recruit, support and work collaboratively with coaches, officials and external providers.
• Coordinate trials, team selections, training schedules, competitions and events.
• Ensure student safety and wellbeing through supervision, risk management and safeguarding compliance.
• Manage Junior School representative sport pathways and nominations.
• Build relationships and communicate with students, parents, coaches and staff.
• Maintain program administration, records and communications.
• Evaluate participation and outcomes, and recommend improvements.
