Job summary

Clayfield College in Brisbane is seeking a Sports Development Coordinator (Junior School) to lead and support the College's Junior School Sport Program. You will coordinate events, manage coaches and pathways, and promote inclusive participation across year levels.

The role requires flexibility for training, competitions, and after-hours activities, with emphasis on student wellbeing, safety, and quality program delivery.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability coordinating and developing schoolsport programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and management skills.
• Mentoring and supporting young athletes.
• Flexibility to work before/after hours and weekends.
• Knowledge of child safeguarding and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of Junior School Sport Program (Andrews Cup, Britton Shield, interhouse carnivals).
• Develop inclusive, age-appropriate sporting opportunities and pathways.
• Recruit and work with coaches, officials and external providers.
• Manage trials, selections, schedules, events, and safety compliance.
• Maintain administration, records and reporting for the program.
