Job summary

Clayfield College in Brisbane is seeking a Sports Development Coordinator (Junior School) to coordinate and support the College’s Junior School Sport Program, including Andrews Cup, Britton Shield, interhouse carnivals and representative sport pathways.

The role promotes inclusive, developmentally appropriate sporting opportunities that support participation, skill development, wellbeing and connection to the College community, with flexible hours for training sessions, events and after-hours

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating schoolsport programs.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, coaches, parents and community.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and management skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, duty of care and risk-management requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee delivery of the Junior School Sport Program (Andrews Cup, Britton Shield, interhouse carnivals and representative pathways).
• Develop inclusive, age-appropriate sporting opportunities.
• Increase student participation and engagement in Junior School sport.
• Recruit, support and collaborate with coaches, officials and external providers.
• Coordinate trials, team selections, training schedules, competitions and events.
• Ensure student safety and wellbeing through supervision and risk management.
