Kensington Community School seeks a Head of Junior School to lead teachers, coordinate curriculum and drive high‑impact practices that improve student outcomes. You will oversee professional learning, staff development, and data-informed decision making across the junior school.

The role focuses on leadership, collaboration with families and the broader school community, and contributing to policy and strategic planning to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of the Victorian curriculum and school priorities.
• Ability to lead planning and implementation of high impact teaching strategies.
• Capacity to monitor and evaluate student learning, and use data to drive improvement.
• Exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills for working with staff, students and families.
• Commitment to reflecting on practice and contributing to whole-school professional learning.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage whole-school improvement initiatives aligned to the school plan.
• Coordinate curriculum planning and delivery across key learning areas.
• Provide professional development and support to teaching staff; develop development plans.
• Oversee staff performance and development reviews.
• Deliver teaching demonstrations and contribute to assessment and reporting policies.
• Guide school operations, welfare, discipline, and policy development.
• Contribute to school leadership and Council proposals; manage the school code of conduct.
