Job summary

McConnell Dowell – Creative Construction in Sydney is seeking a Junior Safety Advisor to support safe and successful project delivery on Sydney Water's Ryde to Pymble Pipeline Upgrade. You will work closely with construction teams, subcontractors and project leadership to identify risks, strengthen safety practices and promote a positive safety culture on a major infrastructure project.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of safety experience in construction or civil infrastructure.
• Cert IV in WHS or higher safety qualification.
• Knowledge of WHS legislation, systems and best practice.
• Confident communication skills with the ability to influence site teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible safety leadership and maintain a strong site presence.
• Support teams to identify, manage and control project risks and hazards.
• Conduct site inductions, inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with approved HSMP and CEMP requirements.
• Analyse safety data and support reporting, initiatives and continuous improvement.
