Job summary

TBH in Sydney is seeking a Junior Project Planner/Scheduler to join our growing team. You’ll develop and maintain project schedules, analyze data to support decision-making, and collaborate with experienced consultants across engineering and construction environments.

You’ll gain exposure to energy, water, defence and infrastructure projects while building your capability in planning, reporting and client deliverables under guidance from senior staff.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or similar.
• 1–3 years’ post-graduate scheduling experience in construction, infrastructure, ICT or related sectors.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and report-writing capabilities; effective communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support development of schedules from construction drawings.
• Assist in executing project plans and contribute to delivery under supervision.
• Analyse data, prepare reports, and present insights for decision-making.
• Support in schedule development, review and maintenance including third-party programmes.
• Assist planning activities including cost/resource loading, integrated schedules, and progress updates.
• Collaborate to prepare client deliverables, including reports and presentations.
• Build strong relationships with team members and client stakeholders through clear communication.

About the Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Junior Project Planner/Scheduler(Consultant) to join our growing Sydney team.

This role is ideal for candidates with a foundation in planning or scheduling and a desire to build their career by working on diverse and challenging projects. You’ll gain exposure to complex projects, developing strong capability in planning, scheduling and project delivery while working alongside experienced consultants and project managers across a range of engineering and construction environments.

As our Junior Project Planner/Scheduler (Consultant), you’ll play a key role in analysing data, preparing reports, and supporting the delivery of high-quality outputs. You will develop and maintain project schedules, analyse data to generate insights, and support the preparation of client deliverables. You’ll collaborate with experienced team members, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to solving complex project challenges.

You’ll work in a collaborative environment where no two projects are the same, giving you exposure to sectors including energy, water, defence, infrastructure, and international projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop your technical capability while contributing to meaningful, complex projects.

As our Consultant you’ll be responsible for:

• Support in the development of a scheduled from a set of construction drawing
• Supporting the execution of project plans and contributing to project delivery as directed by senior team members
• Analysing and interpreting data, preparing reports and presenting insights to support decision-making
• Assisting in the development, review and maintenance of project schedules, including validation of third-party programmes
• Supporting planning and scheduling activities, including cost and resource loading, integrated schedules and progress updates
• Collaborating with the team to prepare client deliverables, including reports, analysis and presentations
• Building strong working relationships with team members and client stakeholders through clear and professional communication

What you’ll bring

As our successful candidate you'll bring:

• A relevant degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or similar
• 1–3 years’ post-graduate experience in scheduling within construction, infrastructure, ICT or related sectors
• Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite (advantageous)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail
• The ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, including report writing and stakeholder engagement
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively
