Job summary

Vincon Customs and Trade Solutions Pty Ltd in Caringbah NSW is seeking a junior operations clerk to join our growing team. You will handle day-to-day compilation of commodities within the customs tariff, ensure each job has correct documentation, perform data entry, and register jobs.

You will also liaise with clients, freight forwarders and brokers to gather charges, ETA details and documents, and support urgent shipments.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal English; strong communication required.
• Self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• High attention to detail and eager to learn; no experience required.

Responsibilities

• Compile commodities within the customs tariff on a day-to-day basis.
• Match each job with correct documentation.

• Update annual packing declarations.
• Liaise with clients, freight forwarders and brokers for charges, ETA and documents.
• Liaise with brokers on urgent shipments and assist when necessary.

Duties will include:

• Day to day compiling of a variety of commodities within the customs tariff.
• Ensure each job that is compiled is matched with correct documentation.
• Data Entry
• Registering Jobs
• Update Annual Packing Declarations
• Liase with clients, freight forwarders/airlines and shipping companies for information regarding charges, ETA's and documents.
• Liase with Brokers on urgent shipments and assist brokers when necessary.

Skills required:

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. A strong command of English language is essential.
• Self-motivated person with a "can do" attitude.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• High attention to detail and be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
• The right applicant will be trained, and no previous experience is necessary.
