Job summary

SunDrive seeks a Junior Mechatronics Engineer to join our team in Sydney, working alongside experienced engineers on hardware and software for automation systems. This fixed-term 6-month contract offers hands-on experience across design, prototyping, testing and commissioning.

You’ll gain exposure to lab and production systems in a real-world R&D environment, with opportunities for international travel as our technology is deployed globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Hands-on problem solving across hardware and software.
• Interest in embedded systems, electronics, software and automation.
• Willingness to learn and work across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Work on a hardware/software-based subsystem, building responsibility as you gain experience across design, prototyping, testing and commissioning.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of lab and production systems in Kurnell, gaining hands-on experience in a real-world R&D environment.
• Be curious, passionate about engineering, keen to learn and comfortable taking initiative while working with cross-functional teams.
• Travel opportunities for deployment and commissioning of our technology.
