Job summary

SunDrive is seeking a Junior Mechatronics Engineer to join our team in a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will work closely with experienced hardware and software engineers to design, build, test, and validate automation systems for customers.

You will gain hands-on experience across embedded systems, electronics, software, and automation while contributing to real-world R&D and commercial deployment. This role offers growth, travel opportunities, and a collaborative engineering culture.

Qualifications

Hands-on approach to problem solving across hardware and software.
Interest in embedded systems, electronics, software and automation.

Responsibilities

Work on a hardware/software-based subsystem, building responsibility as you gain experience across design, prototyping, testing and commissioning.
Contribute to the development and improvement of lab and production systems in Kurnell, gaining hands-on experience in a real-world R&D environment.
Be curious, passionate about engineering, keen to learn and take initiative with cross-functional teams.
Travel opportunities may arise to support deployment and commissioning of our technology.
