Job summary

SunDrive is seeking a Junior Mechatronics Engineer to join a fast-growing team in Australia. You will work on a hardware/software subsystem, gaining hands-on experience from design to testing and commissioning.

The role involves supporting lab and production systems in Kurnell and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Ideal candidates have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in embedded systems, electronics, software, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Work on a hardware/software-based subsystem, building responsibility as you gain experience across design, prototyping, testing and commissioning.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of lab and production systems in Kurnell, gaining hands‑on experience in a real‑world R&D environment.
• Be curious, passionate about engineering, keen to learn and comfortable taking initiative while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• International travel opportunities may arise as you support deployment and commissioning of SunDrive technology.
