Qualifications

• A qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail with the ability to work with complex data.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with estimating software or BIM is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects using estimating software and industry-standard tools.
• Analyse project drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify scope and requirements.
• Researching and sourcing material and labour costs from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assisting in the compilation of tender submissions and bid documentation.
• Communicating with project managers, architects and clients to clarify project details and specifications.
• Maintaining accurate records and databases of historical cost data and estimating information.
• Supporting the senior estimating team with project analysis and feasibility assessments.
• Learning and applying company estimating procedures and methodologies.
