Job summary

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings and specs, estimating material, labour and subcontractor costs, and maintaining strong client and supplier relationships to support project success.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in electrical or construction industry.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of electrical systems, installations, and project methodologies.
• Proficiency in estimation software and strong computer literacy.
• Ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate across teams.
• Commitment to accuracy and profitability.
• Ability to meet tender deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Develop and submit detailed, compliant bids in line with client and company requirements.
• Assess material, labour, and subcontractor costs to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.
• Manage and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to support project success.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure tenders reflect achievable outcomes and scope clarity.
• Identify potential project risks, variations, and opportunities for efficiency.
• Provide cost and technical support throughout project delivery when required.
• Ensure all estimates and related documentation meet Quality, WHS, and Environmental standards.
• Stay current with AS3000 and other relevant Australian Standards.
