Job summary

Huntingdale Golf Club is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare and cook for member dining and functions in Oakleigh South. You will work across kitchen sections, ensuring consistency, stock control and cleanliness while supporting the Head Chef and the team.

The role requires basic commercial kitchen experience, sound cooking skills, and a good understanding of food safety. Weekend and some evening availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Recently qualified or have some experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Good basic cooking skills and an understanding of food safety.
• Able to follow instructions and ask questions when you need help.
• Work well with others and keep a level head during busy services.
• Available to work weekends and some evenings for functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food for member dining and functions
• Keep your section organised and ready for service
• Follow recipes and maintain consistent presentation and portion sizes
• Help with deliveries, stock rotation and keeping the kitchen clean
• Work closely with the Head Chef and the rest of the team
