Job summary

Keystone Advisory & Tax is seeking a Junior Accountant in Sydney to support high-quality accounting and tax work for a varied client base.

The role suits someone who has completed university and is starting or already pursuing CA/CPA, working closely with Kat, Client Managers and the wider Keystone team.

You will gain exposure to tax returns, financial statements, BAS, ATO matters and cloud-based systems while developing strong technical foundations.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in an Australian public practice, business services or tax environment.
• Willingness to start, or continue working towards, CA or CPA qualification.
• Experience preparing tax returns or assisting with compliance work.
• Experience with Xero, Excel or similar accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies, trusts and partnerships.
• Assist with financial statements, working papers, BAS and instalment activity statements.
• Support clients with bookkeeping, Xero and accounting queries, with guidance from senior team members.
• Liaise with the ATO and third parties on behalf of clients where appropriate.
• Keep learning through mentoring, practical experience and exposure to varied client work.
