in Chatswood, Sydney is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our growing practice. This permanent, full-time position offers broad exposure to accounting, taxation and business advisory services across a diverse client base. You will prepare tax returns, assist with financial statements and BAS, perform bookkeeping and payroll tasks, and support senior accountants on various advisory assignments.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Sound understanding of Australian accounting and taxation principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• English and Mandarin Chinese proficiency required.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns.
• Assist with financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare and lodge BAS and assist with GST compliance.
• Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and payroll processing.
• Assist with taxation and accounting compliance matters.
• Liaise with clients and the ATO.
• Support senior accountants with assignments.
