Fenway Accounting is a growing accounting practice in the Sutherland Shire, and we are looking for a motivated Junior Accountant to join our small team three days per week. This is an ideal opportunity for an accounting student, recent graduate or junior accountant who wants genuine hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop across a broad range of accounting and taxation work.

You'll work directly with the owner and senior accountant and gain exposure to individual and business

Competenze

• Currently studying or recently completed an accounting or business-related degree.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Reliable and takes ownership of their work.
• Friendly, confident and comfortable communicating with clients.
• Accurate with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable asking questions and keen to learn.
• Confident with technology and learning new software.
• Happy to work across both accounting and administrative tasks.
• Someone who takes initiative rather than always waiting for the next task.
• Interested in developing a long-term career in accounting.
• Previous experience in an accounting practice would be helpful but not essential.

Mansioni

• Assisting with preparation of individual income tax returns.
• Preparing BAS and basic bookkeeping work.
• Assisting with payroll and related compliance.
• Assisting with preparation of financial statements and business tax returns.
• ATO and ASIC administration.
• Preparing and sending client documents for electronic signature.
• Preparing invoices and processing client payments.
• Managing client documents and electronic filing.
• Following up clients for information and outstanding documents.
• Communicating with clients by phone and email.
• Assisting the accounting team with workflow and ensuring jobs move through the practice.
