This permanent, full-time position offers broad exposure to accounting, taxation and business advisory services across a diverse client base. You will prepare tax returns, assist with financial statements and BAS, perform bookkeeping and payroll tasks, and support senior accountants on various advisory assignments.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Sound understanding of Australian accounting and taxation principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• English and Mandarin Chinese proficiency required.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar software preferred.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing accounting practice in Chatswood, Sydney. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a broad range of accounting, taxation and business advisory services while working with a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual, company, trust and partnership income tax returns.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and assist with GST compliance.
• Perform bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and payroll processing.
• Assist with taxation and accounting compliance matters.
• Liaise with clients and the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
• Support senior accountants with various accounting and business advisory assignments.

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Sound understanding of Australian accounting and taxation principles.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
