Job summary

Exide Technologies in Australia is seeking an entry-level Accounts Payable professional to process and verify AP invoices in Oracle and manage the AP workflow. You will handle payments, expense claims via Concur, and support month-end closing in a global corporate environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce, have strong MS Excel skills, and are eager to learn ERP systems. Immediate availability and long-term working rights in Australia are required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to AP enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
• Provide Accounts Receivable backup during leave.

Job description

• Process and verify Accounts Payable (AP) invoices, ensuring accurate entry into Oracle
• Manage invoice approvals and the AP workflow within Oracle
  Administer corporate credit cards and employee expense claims via Concur
• Prepare domestic and overseas pay runs (including multiple currencies)
• Manage intercompany netting processes
• Monitor and manage the shared AP inbox
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies or queries
• Manage purchase orders and perform 3-way matching (PO, invoice, proof of receipt)
• Respond to AP enquiries via phone, email, and in person
• Provide Accounts Receivable backup support during leave periods
• Financial Reporting: Assist with preparation of financial reports and management reports.
• Month-End Support: Support the senior finance team during the month-end closing process.
• Auditing & Compliance: Gather and organise documents for internal and external audits as well as tax under supervision.
• Perform general administrative and ad hoc finance tasks as required

About You

• Education: Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Tech Savvy: Strong foundational knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, data entry) and an eagerness to learn ERP system.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attitude: Positive, proactive, willing to learn, and able to manage deadlines effectively.
• Availability: Must be immediately available with long-term working rights in Australia
• Desirable: Previous part-time experience in an accounts, administration or customer service role highly regarded.
• Desirable: Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP and accounting software such as MYOB or Xero highly regarded.
