Job summary

TPP Hospitality Group is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the finance team at Glebe, NSW 2037. The role focuses on maintaining financial records, assisting with reporting, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a dynamic hospitality environment.

You will contribute to month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and collaboration with other departments while developing your accounting skills and gaining practical experience in financial accounting and reporting.

Qualifications

• A relevant accounting qualification (degree, diploma or equivalent).
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency with XERO and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• Hospitality industry experience is desirable.
• Payroll or multi-site accounting experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Recording and processing daily financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
• Assisting with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances
• Supporting the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Maintaining detailed financial records and ensuring documentation is properly filed and organised
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management activities
• Performing general ledger data entry and journal entry processing
• Supporting external audits and providing requested financial information
• Assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures
• Liaising with other departments to gather financial information and clarify transactions

In this role, you will support the preparation and maintenance of financial records, assist with financial reporting, and contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting function.
